About our client

Gallagher is the definition of Kiwi ingenuity. Established more than 75 years ago, it is a world-leading innovator in animal management, security and fuel system products and also provides clients in a wide range of industries with contract manufacturing solutions.

The brief

Gallagher needed to transform the way it delivered training to its dealers and distributors in New Zealand and around the world. To do this, the organisation needed an L&D partner with the ability to think strategically, define objectives and KPIs, and develop solutions that would be consistent and effective.

Our role

To ensure the solution we delivered would offer the best return on investment possible, our first task was to create an overall product knowledge framework. In partnership with Gallagher's executive team, we clarified the purpose of the training, what outcomes it should deliver and how success would be measured.

With the knowledge framework defined, we designed an integrated training solution for dealers. Made up of eLearning modules and 'frontline' training solutions, the programme drives sales by increasing the applied product knowledge of the sales force.

The results

Benefits to Gallagher are:

  • Increased sales through dealer network
  • Removes ongoing product training from Territory Managers and Account Managers, giving them more time for more technical training and their other responsibilities
  • Makes product knowledge training readily and constantly available to all store salespeople
  • Gives consistency in product knowledge training & messages
  • Reduces cost of training per salesperson
  • Reinforces Gallagher's reputation and image as a technological leader, through professional and innovative training solutions
  • Provides automated tracking and real-time reporting of completions for management purposes.
